On this day - Bonaparte's Gull

Bonaparte's Gull - Dawlish Warren - October 2012

Having lifered Richard's and Buff-bellied Pipit on a Scilly trip with my Dad, we detoured to Bolt Head on our way to his Exeter home; to lifer Siberian Stonechat. We then followed this with a Bonaparte's Gull lifer at Dawlish Warren, still making it back to his house for Sunday dinner! Devon delivered!

Very civilised and the halcyon days of pre-Covid twitchiness. Maybe 2021 will see more travel for me, till then these self indulgent 'On this day' posts are a proper pleasure.
