Snettisham
I don't visit Snettisham anywhere near as much as I should. Off the top of my head I can recall seeing; Pallid Harrier, Ruddy Shelduck and Ross's Goose x Barnacle Goose hybrids there. Highly elite stuff.
Having stayed up Castle Acre last night it was only half hours drive away and provided PRIME Sunday birding. We encountered a clean 45 species - that's before you even consider hybrids...
From the moment we arrived at the car park there was thrushes pouring over - mainly Redwing, but Fieldfare too.
Once we got up onto the sea wall and viewing the wash we encountered the expected waders on the mudflats; Ringed Plover, Curlew, Bar-tailed Godwit, Knot, Dunlin and Grey Plover. There was also Redshank, Black-tailed Godwit and Lapwing on the pits:

Added to this was the intermittent skeins of Pink-footed Geese over - some well inland and some coming in-off the wash directly over head:

The star of the show was a Bonxie - originally seen in flight over the southern most pit - then perched and preening on the grass between the pits and the wash. Generally looking absolutely awesome:
